Aleksandr Puzikov, General Director of Transneft East, took part in an on-site meeting where the major overhaul of an outpatient clinic at Children’s Municipal Hospital of Bratsk was discussed, given that the Company is going to finance the works.
During the meeting, Sergey Serebrennikov, Bratsk Mayor, Galina Andreyeva, Chief Medical Officer of Children’s Municipal Hospital, head of the contractor company repairing the building as well as media representatives came to the site to see how the works were progressing.
Children’s Municipal Hospital of Bratsk is the only institution receiving young patients not only from the city and district, but also providing medical services for kids from the nearby northern territories that have no medical institutions of their own. Transneft East has allocated RUB 158 million for a large-scale overhaul.
“Our institution has never undergone an overhaul. This important project will both enhance the comfort of kids and their parents and help to attract new medical staff, especially pediatricians who are very scarce in Bratsk. They will be able to work in a fundamentally different environment,” said Ms. Andreyeva.
The meeting participants pointed out that all repair works were proceeding without delays and with ample funding.
Aleksandr Puzikov, General Director of Transneft East emphasized that in its charity activities the Company focuses on enhancing the quality of life and developing the regions where the pipeline system Eastern Siberia – Pacific Ocean (ESPO) is laid. “By now the Company has donated two residential units for the municipal authorities to give to doctors, with one more next in line. Housing will be an extra incentive for skilled physicians flocking to our northern city, so time will heal the acute shortage of medical personnel,” he noted.
A major overhaul of the outpatient clinic at Children’s Municipal Hospital of Bratsk commenced in November 2017; the works will be completed in Q4 2018. A complete overhaul of the clinic’s three-storey building will be accomplished along with layout rearrangement, roof repairs and pipeline and network replacement. The Company also plans to purchase furniture and specialized equipment to create an electronic inventory and organize registration through a call center.
