Transneft East employees arrange Clean Banks environmental campaign

Transneft East’s employees have held the Clean Banks an environmental campaign, during which they cleared forests and the banks of the Angara river of litter together with their families.

The city’s residents actively supported the campaign held on 2 June 2018. Representatives of Padun District Management Committee of Bratsk Administration, members of a Veterans Council, students of school No. 20 from Padun residential area and volunteers took part in cleaning the green space from municipal waste.

Padun district is a historical site where our city started developing. Keeping it clean and beautiful is our duty,” said Yegor Lukovnikov, Head of Padun District.

It was the 3rd time our staff visited the shore of Bratsk Reservoir to tidy up the coastline of the Angara river and more people are willing to join the campaign each time. What’s crucial, many young people joined us today,” stressed Oleg Shikhranov, Head of the Environmental Safety and Rational Nature Management Department of Transneft East.

Transneft East conducts environmental campaigns in all regions where it operates. The Company’s employees regularly arrange voluntary cleanup events to remove litter from the shores of the Kitoy, Chulman and Toporok rivers that run through Irkutsk Region and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
