Date of publication: 03 July 2018 Print

Transneft East has summed up the results of its contest for the Best Volunteer Fire Brigade Crew (VFB) title among employees of its branches' fire departments.

The competition took place at the Lokomotiv stadium in the city of Bratsk. The event involved 18 VFB participants from the Irkutsk, Lensk and Neryungri regional oil pipeline directorates (RPDs).

Participants' level of training was assessed based on the results of traditional tests: knowledge of theory, combat deployment from a firefighting tanker truck, a 100-metre obstacle course and a 4 x 100-metre "firefighting relay race".

The participants competed in the speed of performing combat missions and demonstrated their ability to use special equipment for extinguishing fires.

The combat crew of Lensk RPD took first place, Irkutsk RPD came second, and third place went to the representatives of the Neryungri branch's VFB.

The winners will take part in competitions for the Best Volunteer Fire Brigade Crew at Transneft’s level in Yoshkar-Ola this August.
