Transneft East Starts Installation of Pumping Equipment at Oil Pumping Stations Currently under Construction in Irkutsk Region

Transneft East has started installation of pumping equipment at oil pumping stations (PS) Nos. 2, 5 and 7, currently under construction in Irkutsk Region.

Three oil pumps were installed at oil pumping station No. 2, one oil pump was installed at PS No. 5. Installation of all main pump units at PS No. 7 is now complete. Installation of electrical and technical equipment as well as assembly of automation systems are being conducted at the stations as well.

Finishing works are currently being conducted at main buildings at all the three operational facilities.

PS-2, PS-5 and PS-7 are the last stations on the list of the oil transportation infrastructure facilities to be built as part of phase I of the Eastern Siberia – Pacific Ocean oil trunk pipeline (ESPO-1). The construction is covered by the investment programme for increasing the capacity of the Eastern Siberia – Pacific Ocean pipeline system within the section from Tayshet to Skovorodino to 80 million tonnes of oil per year.

Works on assembly of ventilation systems and utility lines as well as wall covering inside the premises are being conducted at PS No. 2; assembly of lightning is currently completed.

Installation of ceilings and floors as well as covering the walls od the buildings are on the list of the main finishing works at PS No. 5. Installing covering of a combined rack is also in progress. Works on arranging fire protection of metal constructions are fully completed.

Walls are being painted at the indoor switchgear building and at the heat control station of PS No. 7, flooring works and assembly of ulitity lines have been completed.

1,400 persons are involved in the construction, 257 equipment units are used.

The works at the three facilities are conducted in strict compliance with the schedule. It is planned to commission the facilities during Q4 of 2019.
