Transneft East Provides Assistance to Bratsk Nursery School for Visually Impaired Children

Transneft East has financed an overhaul of health rooms in Bratsk Special Nursery School No. 72 for visually impaired children.

The Company allocated 5 million roubles for the project’s implementation. The nursery school’s premises were repaired, including the rehabilitation room, the psychologist’s office and the logopedist’s office. New modern medical equipment, furniture as well as programme and methodical materials were purchased.

Bratsk Special Nursery School No. 72  is one of the few institutions in Irkutsk Region and the only one in the northern part of the region that provides specialised assistance to children with severe visual problems. There are three such institutions in Irkutsk Region.

Special programmes and methods are applied and only specialised professionals are employed in the Bratsk nursery school, which allows to comprehensively approach the issue of saving eyesight in children under 7 years of age.

The project was implemented under the agreement on social and economic partnership between Transneft East and the administration of Bratsk and became one more of the Company's contributions to the development of Irkutsk Region’s healthcare system.

Last year, a selected overhaul of the Bratsk Children's City Hospital’s outpatient clinic building was completed; the Company allocated almost 160 million roubles for this purpose. Modern equipment and furniture that cost more than 20 million roubles were purchased for the Tayshet Regional Hospital and Nizhneudinsk Central Regional hospital.

A therapeutic exercise room for children and adults was renovated in the children's outpatient clinic of Bratsk City Hospital No. 2 in 2018, and a year earlier, a physiotherapy room was repaired and equipped in the same hospital.  

The total amount of charitable funds allocated by Transneft East to the development of healthcare in Angara Region during 2018 amounted to almost 200 million roubles.
