Date of publication: 10 July 2019

Transneft East has summed up the results of its occupational health activities for the first half of this year.

The main objective of the entire set of activities is to focus the attention of the employees of Transneft East, schoolchildren and students of vocational schools on the importance of complying with occupational health requirements in a high-tech operational process.

To ensure safe working conditions, more than RUB 200 thousand was used to purchase personal protective equipment for all divisions of the Company. The Angarsk oil loading section (in the Meget village of Irkutsk Region) was equipped with safety systems for railway oil loading racks.

Transneft East has introduced a number of software products that allow resolving the issues of quick provision of employees with working clothes and personal protective equipment, tracking violations of occupational safety requirements and monitoring the implementation of tasks assigned by field committees.

In April 2019, the Neryungri production support base (the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)) held an Occupational Safety Day within the Year of Occupational Safety with the participation of 10 teams from the Lensk, Irkutsk and Neryungri regional oil pipeline directorates as well as the specialised transport directorate. The participants demonstrated their knowledge of safety rules for performing works and new approaches to promoting measures taken to preserve the life and health of employees at a workplace.

In order to raise awareness around the occupational health system at the oil transportation facilities of Transneft East, open lessons were held for students of five educational institutions in the cities of Vikhorevka, Bratsk (Irkutsk Region), Lensk, Aldan and Neryungri (the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)). In addition, three excursions to operational facilities were conducted for highschoolers and vocational school students. Transneft East employees and their families took part in the Say YES! to Occupational Health! contest of creative works.

This year, the Company will continue outfitting operating facilities with safety systems and conducting educational events. The Company will also organise a competition for young OHSE specialists.
