Transneft East Completes Scheduled Repairs at Oil Trunk Pipelines

Transneft East has completed scheduled repairs at the Omsk – Irkutsk, Krasnoyarsk – Irkutsk and Eastern Siberia – Pacific Ocean oil trunk pipelines.

The scheduled repairs were to be completed within 72 hours. During this period, the full range of repair and maintenance works was carried out at pipelines and onsite facilities of the oil trunk pipelines of Transneft East.

Nine brigades took part in the scheduled repairs — employees of the Talakan, Olekminsk, Bratsk, Neryungri, Angarsky and Nizhneudinsk central maintenance divisions, as well as of specialised maintenance personnel of the oil pumping stations. In total, 253 employees were took part. 200 units of special-purpose vehicles were involved in the work.

Defects detected during high-accuracy in-line inspection were eliminated by replacing the corresponding sections. The works were completed to the full extent and in time.

The scheduled repairs are an integral part of Transneft East’s policy implemented to ensure safe operation of its onsite facilities, as well as of the Omsk – Irkutsk, Krasnoyarsk – Irkutsk and Eastern Siberia – Pacific Ocean oil trunk pipelines’ facilities.  Oil transportation to the Angarsk oil loading section in Meget Village of Irkutsk Region and via the Tayshet — Skovorodino process section resumed on schedule.
