Transneft East Completes Planned Repairs at Trunk Pipelines in Irkutsk and Amur Regions

Midlife repairs of stop valves at the 506.2 km of the Krasnoyarsk – Irkutsk oil trunk pipeline (OTP) have been completed; substandard elements, which prevent safe passage of inspection tools at the flowline of the Angarsk oil loading section of the pipeline, have been eliminated.  The planned repairs took 67 hours to finish.

In Amur Region, a set of construction and installation works was carried out at the Neryungri Regional Oil Pipeline Directorate’s facilities. Stop valves were connected at the 14.3 km of the Skovorodino — Mohe OTP. During the 96 hours repairs, oil transportation through the oil pipeline was suspended.

The Nizhneudinsk and Neryungri central maintenance divisions and personnel of the oil the pumping stations (a total of more than 90 people) took part in the planned works; 45 special-purpose vehicles and equipment pieces were involved. The purpose of the works was to increase reliability of oil trunk pipelines in the area of responsibility of Transneft East.

Oil pumping in the export direction via the Skovorodino – Mohe and Krasnoyarsk – Irkutsk oil trunk pipelines to the Angarsk oil loading section was resumed as planned and within the set timeframe after the planned works were completed.
