Transneft East has completed scheduled repairs at the Krasnoyarsk – Irkutsk oil trunk pipeline in Irkutsk Region.
The works were performed to eliminate defects in the section of the pipeline, the elements which prevented safe passage of inspection tools during the in-line inspection were eliminated.
The works were performed during the scheduled, 44-hour shutdown of oil transportation as part of the Technical Upgrading, Revamping, and Overhaul Programme of Transneft East’s facilities. The purpose of the works is to maintain the high level of the oil trunk pipeline’s operational reliability and safety.
The Nizhneudinsk central maintenance divisions of the Kimeltey emergency line maintenance division (ELMD) and personnel of the oil pumping stations (a total of more than 30 people) took part in the scheduled works; 15 special-purpose vehicles and equipment pieces were involved.
After completion of the set of works, oil transportation via the Krasnoyarsk – Irkutsk oil pipeline in the direction of the Angarsk oil loading section was resumed in full timely.
