Transneft East has completed the repairs of two electric motors of mainline pump units and one electric motor of a booster pump unit at the Tayshet initial pumping station (Tayshet IPS-1) in Irkutsk Region.
The works were carried out as part of Transneft East’s overhaul of facilities and equipment programme.
These electric motors with a capacity of 14,500 kW and 2,100 kW are parts of the process equipment involved in the transportation of oil through the Eastern Siberia – Pacific Ocean oil trunk pipeline (ESPO-1). The operating time of each of the electric motors by the time the repairs began was more than 40 thousand hours.
The purpose of the repairs is to increase operational reliability of the process equipment involved in the transportation of oil through the ESPO-1.
The defects were cut out, and the parts worn out during the period of operation were replaced, the lacquer coating was restored. The main characteristics of the equipment were brought to the passport values. After the electric motor repairs, all pump units at the facility passed acceptance testing and were put into operation.
During the scheduled works, oil transportation via ESPO-1 was not stopped.
