Transneft East has overhauled four block modular boiler houses at oil pumping stations (PSs) of the Eastern Siberia – Pacific Ocean oil trunk pipeline (ESPO OTP)
A set of measures was implemented at the Olyokminsk PS-14, Aldan PS-17 in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Skovorodino PS-21 and the Dzhalinda custody transfer point in Amur Region.
The block modular boiler house, produced by Transneftemash, is an autonomous compact module with a set of all the necessary equipment of high energy efficiency class, improved with automation and control system, water treatment system, instruments for monitoring and metering of consumed resources. The supply of thermal energy to operating facilities is fully autonomous.
The work was carried out in summer as part of the overhaul programme. Specialists from the Neryungri Regional Oil Pipeline Directorate (branch of Transneft East) replaced equipment with up-to-date ones.
Two new boilers and two burners were installed at the three PSs; one boiler and two burners were replaced at the Dzhalinda custody transfer point. The equipment runs on liquid fuel (oil) when exposed to ambient temperatures of -50 °C to +50 °C and relative humidity up to 90%.
The service life of boiler equipment is 10-15 years. It's just about time for the replacement. The boiler equipment was overhauled on a tight schedule, during the short Yakut summer. The work performed will save fuel and increase the PSs heat supply system reliability,” said Mikhail Dmitriev, Deputy Director for Construction at the Neryungri Regional Oil Pipeline Directorate.
A total of 69 boiler houses were installed at Transneft East’s facilities. They are inspected annually; results are used to decide whether to carry out repairs or not.
Completed repairs will ensure uninterrupted energy efficient heat supply to operating, administrative and amenity buildings of operating facilities.
